Kurt Vonnegut is one of the premier writers, satirists, and critics of the 20th century. His writing style was ahead of its time in its brevity, humor, and wit. Every student should read Vonnegut, not only because he helped usher in the post-modern era of American pros, but because he is fun to read. Vonnegut may very well be that writer who reaches the reluctant reader. “2 B R O 2 B” is a frightening short story that takes place in a future that’s not all that unlikely.
