Have you heard of Books That Grow? It could really benefit your students
It’s a reading platform featuring digital texts that adapt to the student’s reading level. For example, a student reading a story like Poe's Tell-Tale Heart can select an easier or more difficult version of the text, based on their individual needs. Teachers can also assign specific reading levels for each of their students. Here’s a super short video that shows it works: https://youtu.be/7j5cuxJOVfQ
My good friend Daniel Fountenberry, a former teacher, created Books That Grow so that students with special needs could read and learn in mainstream classes without shame or stigma. They’ve won lot of prestigious awards and are used in schools around the world.
Could I introduce you to my friend Daniel so he can tell you more about it?
